Join us for an unmissable evening celebrating a trio of JS Bach’s most joyous and festive masterpieces! The Easter and Ascension Oratorios set a triumphant mood, renowned for their exhilarating, trumpet-led choruses and brilliant orchestral colour. Bach’s splendid Magnificat in D is another work of exuberance that perfectly captures the divine joy of the Virgin Mary through radiant choral writing and breathtaking solos. To bring this glorious music to life, the acclaimed Yorkshire Baroque Soloists will deploy Bach’s grand festival orchestra with a technicolour sound world of trumpets, timpani, flutes, oboes, strings and continuo. Combined with exceptional soloists and thrilling choruses, this promises to be an uplifting, high-energy showcase of Bach at his most uplifting.
