Our venues based at the University of York campus are easily accessible by public transport and by road.

Pre-concert food and drink

You can dine Monday to Friday at food outlets across campus. Vanbrugh Dining is closest to our venues, open on weekdays from 6pm.

The bars in the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall and Central Hall serve a full range of drinks. Remember to order your interval drinks before the start of the concert – they will be waiting for you!

Please note that the bars at the University only accept card payments.

Access

We offer a 50% discount on two tickets for essential carers attending concerts. To register, contact the Box Office.

The Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall has spaces for wheelchairs and adjacent seating for a companion. Please let us know in advance if you would like to book these seats. You can access the building by following signs to the Concerts and Evening Box Office, entering via the walkway to the Music Research Centre.

Central Hall has a lift available from the foyer to the upper level of the auditorium.
