Travel and parking
Our campus venues are easy to find at the heart of Campus West:
Travelling by car
If travelling by car, take the York ring road to the junction with the A19 or A1079/A166. The University is signposted from these junctions.
Parking is free after 6pm or at the weekend. At other times, use pay and display facilities at Campus Central or Campus North car parks. There are accessible parking spaces across Campus West.
Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall and Rymer Auditorium: follow the signs for Wentworth Way at the roundabout at the top of University Road. Take the first left turn to Car Park D (2.1) and follow the footpath signs to the Concert Hall's evening entrance.
Central Hall: follow the signs for Campus Central Car Park (2.4) off University Road (opposite the University Library) and from the car park follow the footpath signs to Central Hall.
Travelling by public transport
There are regular buses from the railway station and across the city to the University campus. Find out more about travelling by bus, rail and taxi.
Cycling and walking
It's around a 15-minute bike ride or 30-minute walk from the city centre to Campus West. Find out more about cycling and walking to campus.
