Experience the booming sounds of bronze gongs alongside the mellifluous sounds of strings and choir as Gamelan Sekar Petak joins forces with musicians from Eoferwic Strings and the University’s student-led vocal group Animas. Join them for an evening of discovery as they explore how Javanese instruments interact with Western instruments in the music of Lou Harrison and IM Harjito, as well as in new works by York-based composers.
