This is the last of three recitals marking the 50th anniversary of the Grant, Degens and Bradbeer organ in the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall which was opened with three recitals in November 1969. Fifty years on, it is still regarded as one of the finest recital instruments in the country.
David Goode is Organist at Eton College and an international recitalist. Recordings include the complete organ works of Reger and he is currently recording all the organ music of JS Bach, volume 6 being the most recently issued. His programme includes the first performance of a new piece by Frederick Viner, a PhD student in the Department of Music.
Bookings for all three recitals in the day are eligible for a Day Ticket discount; this is applied automatically online at the checkout stage.
