Purcell’s theatre and instrumental music displays his flair for the dramatic and mastery of style. Vivaldi’s flamboyant setting of ‘La Follia’ complements Corelli’s equally masterful setting, which will be heard in the evening concert. Renowned natural trumpeter Crispian Steele-Perkins completes the programme with virtuosic trumpet sonatas.
